Fan's Guide To Spider-Man: Homecoming & New International Movie Posters

In case you missed it: here's the 22-minute behind-the-scenes special for "Spider-Man: Homecoming" that recently aired on Disney XD.

Hosted by Tom Holland and Zendaya, the nearly half-hour preview, titled "A Fan's Guide to Spider-Man: Homecoming," offers a comprehensive look at the making of the highly anticipated comic book movie, which is chronicling the high school days of web-slinging teen superhero Peter Parker (played by Holland).

Despite its high school setting, the movie is not the same origin story we've seen before. The film takes place about six months after Peter has gained his Spidey powers, and starts almost immediately after the events of "Captain America: Civil War," during which Spider-Man fought alongside Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and the members of "The Avengers."

A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine -- distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man -- but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.

Spider-Man: Homecoming stars Tom Holland, Robert Downey Jr., Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei, Zendaya, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Jacob Batalon, Donald Glover, Jon Favreau, Logan Marshall-Green, Bokeem Woodbine, Tyne Daly

Release: July 7th, 2017
