MCU Loki, Scarlet Witch & Others Headed To The Small Screen Via Disney's Streaming Service

According to Variety, Disney and Marvel Studio's are planning on doing a run of TV limited-series like shows that will feature fan-favorite Marvel Cinematic Universe characters that have yet to get stand-alone movies for their upcoming streaming service. Characters like Loki and Scarlet Witch are said to be some of the first characters to receive the small-screen treatment and they will be played by the actors who portray them on the big screen such as Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen.

Each series should be around six to eight episodes and it will NOT feature any characters that have already had stand-alone movies such as Captain America, Thor or Iron Man. The shows will be produced by Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige is going to be directly involved with their development.

Disney's new streaming service is likely to launch sometime in 2019.

Black Widow is supposed to (finally) be getting her own film. Hawkeye would be awesome, though! I think this is a great idea- even with a few movies a year, the MCU is so huge that tons of interesting characters are under-explored. This would be a great opportunity to explore a lot of the great supporting characters from the films.

Wow! This sounds like an awesome idea! Really hope they do Hawkeye and Black Widow if these are successful!

I like scarlet witch and I would be interested to watch a show about her. The only thing that sucks is the Disney streaming service. There are too many streaming services and we keep getting more and more it seems like every year

As a non US resident I really hope that they are interested in investing big and making this service an international one. Since all the Disney content will be removed from Netflix, we will be left with nothing. The DC is partnering up with Netflix apparently, but I also would like this to be an international service.

The budget on those show's are going to be pretty freakin high.

Looking forward to them though!
