In an interview with
BBC Radio 4’s Front Row, Hugh Jackman commented that playing the character of Wolverine affected his vocal range and damaged his voice.
“My teacher at drama school would have been horrified by some of the things I did in Wolverine,” he said. “I’ve done some damage to my voice, through playing Wolverine.”
Jackman has done additional songs and dances in his career on stage and in film, and the sound effects took awake from his skill.
“My falsetto is not as strong as it used to be, and I put that down directly to some of the growlings and yelling I did.”
Jackman is reprising his role as Wolverine in Deadpool 3, currently in pre-production and scheduled for November 8th, 2024. Ryan Reynolds is reprising his role as Deadpool as well.

It's odd he says it was specifically Wolverine that did the damage. Sure he growls and yells but for 90% of his screen time he is speaking in a normal voice.
But hey, if he says so, no reason to doubt him

Yeah, it mustn't have helped his voice.
