The first trailer for Sony Marvel's Kraven the Hunter starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson dropped during Sony’s CinemaCon presentation tonight.
Taylor-Johnson via video set up the teaser for the audience and answered the question...
“Will it be rated R? F*ck yes, it’s going to be rated R.”
Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are producing, with the screenplay written by Art Marcum & Matt Holloway, and Richard Wenk.
Kraven the Hunter is one of Marvel's most iconic and notorious antiheroes and has had encounters with Venom and Black Panther, among many others, and is one of Spider-Man’s best-known and most formidable enemies.
The teaser begins with Kraven facing off with Australian mercenaries, stabbing them in the neck and biting off one's nose. He’s a no-nonsense Marvel antihero. Russell Crowe plays his dad, teaching him to respect the world around him, and there’s a shot of him with a young Kraven feeling the spirit of a dead cow. “We are predators,” Crowe tells the son in a voiceover.
At one point, Kraven’s brother, the Chameleon, played by The White Lotus’ Fred Hechinger, tells him, “You’re just another man hunting for a trophy.”
A voice intones, “There is an animal in each one of us.”
There’s a shot of Kraven in a luxe office behind the desk with a crossbow as his victim enters. Ariana DeBose, who plays Calypso, tells Kraven, “You’re a goddamn lunatic!”
Rhino also briefly appears in the footage, “Don’t you want to know why they call me The Rhino?” as his arm morphs.

It's happens a lot. LOads of announcements and nothing happens because the studio jumps the gun. Like how many Star Wats movie have been announced that haven't happened.

You haven't missed a thing by not seeing Morbius. Aufgh, that was bad. Really, really bad.

Regardless it'll probably be better than the other based on concept alone. Speaking of Spider-Verse movies though, it would have been awesome if instead of villain movies, these had been alternate Spider-Man movies. I'd watch the hell out of a Spider-Man 2099 movie, or Spider-Man Noir, or Spider-Gwen, etc.

I wonder if Sony studio execs have properly analyzed Morbius fiasco, and if they learned any lessons, both for Kraven, Madame Web and 3rd Venom, I personally don't have any hope whatsoever but good thing about ultra low expectations is that it's easy to surpass them.
Sounds kinda cool with the Rated R action, but I have low hopes, sony just fumbles it up, also Rhino being someone who morphs into a Rhino and not a dude in a suit sounds wack, w/e i'll wait for a trailer before I really make any judgement, but it seems like another fools run by Sony.

Exactly that. As far as the R Rating goes, I'm happy about it but it's kinda late cause every previous movie from that universe is PG13.
so they are going to make it R rated as a gimmick to get some viewers
once again this villain is nothing without Spider-man
IMHO the only Spidey villain that could have their own movie would be Black Cat
