Twenty years ago, X-23 made her comic book debut in Joe Quesada and Joshua Middleton’s NYX, a hard-hitting series about mutant teens surviving on the streets of New York City. Now, NYX is back for a new generation, and X-23, now known as Wolverine, returns to protect mutant runaways in a world more dangerous than ever!
To celebrate NYX’s revival and the anniversary of X-23’s debut, a new variant cover for September’s NYX #3 by acclaimed artist W. Scott Forbes captures the tone and unmistakable style of the original iconic series. On this bold cover, see Wolverine in a look reminiscent of her early appearances alongside missing posters of the original NYX cast, all of whose whereabouts remain unknown…
With Xavier’s school long gone and Krakoa destroyed, the greatest city on Earth is about to get a huge influx of mutants, whether they’re welcome there or not! See a group of former X-Men students navigate young adulthood, discrimination, and threats bent on shattering human-mutant relations in a new run of NYX from hotshot writing duo Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing (Timeless, Alien: Black, White & Blood) and rising star artist Francesco Mortarino (Avengers, Cult of Carnage: Misery).
Check out Forbes’ cover for September’s NYX #3 and pick up the debut issue of NYX on July 24!

Generally, I despise copy-cat characters but at the very least, if they have to have them, give them their own names. Does everything have to be a hand-me-down? Also the Captain America thing....why on earth is that still going on? Cap asked Falcon to step in for him. He did that, despite all the ungratefulness he he dealt with. Cap got his abilities back, Falcon needs to go back to his own brand. The Falcon isn't some 2nd or 3rd rate copy of a more established character- he was Marvel's first black American superhero (Black Panther is Wakandan) and they should be proud on its own right.
Change the colors on X23 and call her Mustelid. Call Kate Toxophilitefor all I care. Kid Arachnid, why not (ok those names are jokes but seriously, Just give them their own and move on).
Well to be fair, Miles, Kate and Laura got those codenames because the original was dead and they became their successor. But I agree at some point they need to stand out and get their own codenames.

Yes. There's that. Plus the fact that they all pretty much call each other by their first names anyway. I guess I just hate the ANAD so fiercely and hate the fact that they hold this thing up as the shinning light of one of the few good things that came out of that whole fiasco. But it's all BS. X-23 was a thing before the ANAD and she was pretty popular in her own right already. All they did in the ANAD was rebrand her and give her a series. And TBH it was pretty good but I argue that it would have done just as well as X-23.

I'm just saying it's time call Logan Wolverine again. All the toys and merchandise and media are back to Logan as Wolverine. It's like actual Marvel Comics is the only one to not get the memo.
Poor Gabby. Again not the character's fault. That was just a poorly conceived effort to liven things up and it was another terrible failure.

Don't get me wrong. Not knocking the character. Love Laura. She's one of the best characters created before this entire clone trend got way out of hand. Didn't mean she stole Wolvies identity. She herself own none of the blame. As far as fictional characters go. The geniuses behind the ANAD fiasco did it with the entire character replacement coup they tried to pull. But she was already a great character before those clowns got ahold of her. It was actually a disservice to her IMO when they basically changed her name and identity to try to doup everyone to except her as the only Wolverine. They even changed her personality and attitude to be exactly like Logan's just short of calling everyone bub. All I'm saying is it's time to recognize Logan as Wolverine again and Laura as her own character again. Same thing with Sam. We all want Falcon back. The experiment is over. It failed. Time to abandon it. It's like they're the only ones who don't understand they screwed up. Rant over.

The ANAD was by far the worst disaster in Marvel history. Can we just dump most of that junk and just keep the few good things that came out of it? This Wolverine stolen identity thing wasn't one of them.
