Joe Quesada, Marvel Entertainment's Chief Creative Officer recently chatted it up with Kevin Smith on Smith's Fat Man On Batman Podcast and Quesada talked about the planned series with Netflix and Marvel involving Defenders characters Daredevil, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. Below are some of the highlights from the podcast:

Quesada confirmed they will take place in Marvel's Cinematic Universe and there will be some interaction between the series and the movies but the series won't be the same as the films. The series will be on a street level and its something we have never seen in the Marvel movies.

As for the scripts, Quesada thinks they are pretty fantastic and really emotional. "They’re very, very original. But at the same time, it is Daredevil. It is Matt Murdock. We will eventually, hopefully start casting really, really soon, but I’m very, very excited about it."

Drew Goddard's Daredevil series will begin production this summer in New York City will take place in Hell's Kitchen. "That’s the fantastic thing about it is that we’re shooting at home. We’re shooting where these characters belong."
