Daredevil Gets A Second Season & New Showrunners

Jay Cochran - April 21, 2015
Netflix has announced that Marvel's Daredevil will return for a second season in 2016. Deadline however reports that that showrunner Steven S. DeKnight (Spartacus) is leaving the series and that writers Doug Petrie (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Marco Ramirez (Sons of Anarchy) will be taking over. Both worked closely with DeKnight and creator Drew Goddard in the first season.

Besides Daredevil, Netflix will be launching Marvel-based series for Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. After that they will then do an Avengers-like team series featuring four characters called The Defenders.
