Certainly wasn't expecting much legal "realism" in the show but they didn't even try. It misses the whole point of being an attorney as your day job. I understand that comic book and tv "writers" view the hero's civie life as a prop, but it still needs to be fleshed out somewhat. Professions like attorney at law require a little more attention than watching a few clips of a 1950s Perry Mason show. They did a good exchange when Matt Murdock essentially cuts Jen to pieces in court, but she did such a poor job, her overall competence comes into question; nfrankly she more or less deserved it. I know the writers want to present these people as top notch in their field, but the script needs to actually reflect that, and this didn't do it.

This could be a very short show. How did we ruin another beloved classic Marvel character? Simple, we hired another no-name, no talent hack with neither experience with the source material nor the desire to familiarize themselves with it. Then we give them carte blanche to change their origin and history and most everything that made them likeable in the first place and to just write any old fan fiction and self interject any old story they'd like to tell and slap the name of that character on it and send it to press. BTW, this works with pretty much any classic character. And then if anyone has a problem with it you can just BS an excuse and call it "modernization".
