Well he didn't want to go back into business after the whole embezzlement fiasco, so he needed something else and being an actor seemed like the logical choice for him, since given he was already a hero, playing one would be easier.

I keep hearing this Wonder Man is gonna get scrapped altogether. That would be good because the limited plan that was revealed didn't look good at all. I'd rather it not even get off the ground than see a bad production. Time will tell, though.
