I'm a wardrobe builder so this I will be getting it but I won't be displaying it. I get what they were trying to do in this wave by giving us the character from Slott's epic run on the book while at the same time giving us some Tom DeFalco characters as well.
Yeah very happy i have the previous Black Cat figure, this one is an easy pass for me. I'm sure there must be fans of the modern look who are happy to get this figure, though.
I bought the figure, but mostly just b/c of the Kingpin BAF piece. I have the previous Hasbro Black Cat (also seen in this video) that I love so much more. One thing I'm getting really sick of at Marvel (not sure if DC is doing this too as I don't collect DC Comics) is the downsizing of the breasts. Three characters that have suffered from this the most in comics, in my opinion, are Black Cat, Spider-Woman, and Rogue. I like my superheros to have big muscles and big breasts. So, this figure just isn't Black Cat to me. Thankfully, we have the previous one which is the Black Cat I've always known and loved.
Lots of times Im glad a baf makes me buy figures I wouldnt normally by because I end up really liking the figure. This isnt one of those times
I must agree about the design of the costume. I can deal with the big grin on her face its kinda in character. But the big yellow cat eyes are kinda off putting for me. Too cartoony I guess. And the fur should stay white.

This is one of the greatest examples of how to ruin a character design that was perfect.

Looking at this figures reminds me how bad Peters love life was after the events of Superior Spider-Man.
You know, since I already have the previous ML and Select versions, I kinda mentally passed on this one, but... Looking at her here, I don't know, I think the big, cheesy smile is winning me over a bit. Plus it doesn't hurt that I like getting different looks for the same character (which explains my ever-growing collection of Harley Quinn figures most of which look pretty different from each other while still keeping some core similarities). So this might not be the classic look for her but there are enough differences and similarities that it works for me.
