Agreed. As a big F4 fan, this is the team Ive been
I agree that his face is good but just doesn't speak "Johnny Storm" to me. And I'm not sure if its the smirk, or the hair style....I like the figure though. Not sure why the blue they used doesn't match Mr. Fantastic or the Invisible Woman. So glad they used the same body buck for the flamed on version and not that one from the first walgreens exclusive.
Its great that they used this buck for him, but it just makes me irritated that he has so much more articulation than the other members. The Legends team really has not done the Fantastic Four well, despite all the hype about anniversaries or Haslab or what have you.
Mr. Fantastic is just too small; he should definitely be taller than the Human Torch. And I've said before, he wouldn't be as robust as Captain America, but he shouldn't look like a boy in comparison to Cap either. His head sculpt is very good but the white around the temples has just been smeared on. It looks like a blotch of grey more than anything else. It should be white, also should wrap around the back of his hair. They got the white for Rogue correct, so Reed's hair shouldn't be an issue. They skimped on boot cut rotation for him too. And the contempt they show us, giving him those silly salad fork hands. Cheap. Hardly worthy treatment for the Marvel Age's first superhero.
The Thing for this round came out better than the Skrull BAF wave version, and I really like the head showing his gritted teeth; I still think it was stupid and lazy to not give him a biceps swivel.
The Invisible Woman is worst of the four as we all know; I wont go into that mockery of a head, because I snatched it off the moment I got it and plugged on the head from the Skrull BAF wave. Beautifully done, but it really accents how bad that figure is. Scrawny, minor articulation- come on, she's Marvel's first female superhero. Do better!
That said, though I don't see it happening any time soon, the entire Fantastic Four needs a re-do.
