I have to get this because I'm a wardrobe builder. The figure isn't bad and at least it is out of the way, but I agree it's not something I was clamoring for.
Yeah this is an easy pass for me, this Armour doesn't do anything for me, not terribly familiar with it, and it doesn't seem memorable and the figure some how just looks way to kid line oriented, his helmet looks too happy and reminds me too much of Rudy the Robot from Invincible and I can't unsee it, I'm happy the fact this doesn't come with a BAF piece so I don't have to buy it to build Controller.
I do however like this figure more when I see it standing next to Hellcat, since this is the armour he is wearing currently and in his series with her.
This review is making me warm up to the figure. If only the eyes looked the way they are supposed to... and it used a darker red...
Well, at least the red is something a coat of paint can fix. Really hoping somebody with enough patience and dedication does a headcast with a better sculpt for the eyes, though.

I'm not knocking them for doing this one, just would've thought those others would have been made before now. There really is no rhyme or reason with choices when it comes to hasbro.
LOL yeah that promethium armor is probably the only decent thing to come out of that whole "heroes reborn" disaster. Oh and there was the Jim Lee art for the 70s Sub-Mariner.....loved that outfit!!
Yeah, but the ones you mentioned are fondly remembered and have lasting appeal that fans can and have waited for. This is literally the armour he has right now in the comics and Hasbro do try (and due to the time between the figure being designed and released sometimes fail) release the latest costumes. Chances are this armour won't be as fondly remembered as the likes of the Silver Centurion or Modular armours so this would be probably the best time to release it.

What I really thought we'd see, is an actual first appearance of the red/gold suit (since the 20th "anniversary" was so half-way done). Still, I'm intrigued by this.
Well this is the most modern armour, so it would make sense for Hasbro to try and get it out before it gets shelved. Of course, Hasbro can be strange with their costume choices though, two Deadpool waves and no Weapon X DP, but we can have him with no pants. I really want thePromethium Armour.

Not a fan of the armour. Thankfully he doesn't come with a piece for one of his own villains, so I can easily pass on it.
