No Beast For HML Wave 4?!?

by Jay Cochran
November 6, 2007
Several online e-tailers recently began to take pre-orders for Hasbro's 4th wave of 6" Marvel Legends figures. The pre-orders do not include the Astonishing X-Men Beast figure that was announced as part of the wave during the San Diego Comic Con. Based on the information sent to e-tailers, it appears this figure has been pulled from the wave. However, we are hoping to have confirmation from Hasbro on this soon, as well as an explanation as to why it was pulled and when or if we might see this figure again.

According to etailer list's this wave now includes the following figures:

- Nova
- Black Bolt
- First Appearance Daredevil
- Punisher
- Tigra

Each figure will come with a piece to build a Nemesis (Holocaust) figure.

3 figures will have variants in this wave:

- Punisher (Painted skull on face)
- Black Bolt (Blue tint costume)
- Daredevil (Red suit)

Stay tuned to Marvelous News for more on this as we learn more.

Just tossing out a theory here. 8 figure case= 5 regular, 3 variant?

well that sucks! If anything they should have pulled out the $#(*& punisher figure! Or at least made him 1 per case! tigra & black bolt being one per case sucks ! There case ratios make no sense! I Like how toybiz use to do it where you get 2x of each figure and then you can have two complete sets of BAF!

2x Nova

2x Punisher

2x Daredevil

1x Tigra

1x Black Bolt

Expect a lot of punishers to be found on the pegs :S

Oh , what are the variant figures for this wave as well?.. A red DD?..

Entertainment Earth is showing this case ratio:

1x Nova

2x Punisher

2x Daredevil

1x Tigra

1x Black Bolt

1x Hydra Soldier

I heard this somewhere else too...

"IF" this is all true I like the idea of smaller waves. I tend to buy for the BAF and not having to pick up 8 figures to do so would help. I'm also not a fan of kitty cat Beast so I've got no problem seeing him go. I just wanna get my hands on Nova and Tigra, looks like one's gonna be harder than the other.

guys this is still unconfirmed and it's too early to be sure that beast is cancelled. beside do you really think they would cancel a figure and not tell the likes of toyfare and other before they tell the stores? i think it just early mistakes we still have 3 or more month till they even come out anyway.

Good point its just odd when more than one retailer posts the same bs is all

true but remember what happened when they returned wave 1 back to hasbro? everyone thought they were ending the line. it nearly the same thing here except not ending the line but canceling one figure. also wave 2 was soppose to have fa storm in it as well but they changed that as well.could be the same thing here.

FA storm was suppose to be in this wave but was taken out when they shortened the line to 6 figs instead of 8. maybe we will see beast in another line. hopefully there will be an x-men based line. now that we will have 5 figs in a line they will have more lines per year with more BAF's.

Has no one thought there might be a X Men themed wave next year with said Beast, Jean Grey(lee), FA Storm, etc? Just a thought........

Draven

Well, no one's thought that because as of this point there's no basis to do so.

Of course there is.........

Draven

Is there evidence of an X-Men themed wave?

Maybe! Officially no............. unofficially yes......... ;)

I hope they aren't actually dropping a figure. If they want to swap Beast out for someone else, so be it, but 5 figures in a wave would be kind of sucky. I liked the old 8 figures in a wave. That was great.

seems that it would be hard to find tigra and black bolt when HML5 hits the shelves. poor little me. the only two figs i'm gonna get from that wave are both tough to find.
