Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell Are In Talks For Iron Man 2

Favreau said if he did the Mandarin his powers would be based on science and not magic. He would also be the main villain in the THIRD Iron Man movie. And the Afghan dude I think was just part of the 10 Rings organization and not necessarily the main dude.

Wasn't that Afghan dude with the shaved head supposed to be the Mandarin? After all, his organization was the "Ten Rings."

Whatever the case may be, I'm not really keen on the Mandarin. Magic rings that shoot lightning bolts and force fields are kind of cheesy for a film series that's trying to be as realistic as possible. Plus, I always found him kind of boring as a character (only so much "I will avenge the honor of my Chinese ancestors!" stuff I can take).

Now, make a movie featuring Spymaster and Ghost, and I'll camp out for tickets!
