Marvelousnews reader Ant gives us a heads up about a listing for the second wave of 3 3/4" Marvel Universe "Secret Wars" comic 2-packs he found on the UK website
Play.com. According to the site wave 2 will consist of the following sets:
- Black Costume Spider-Man/Magneto
- Iron Man/Spider-Woman
- Hulk/Cyclops
No images are yet available, but we are speculating that these figures will be based on their appearances during Secret Wars. This would mean that Iron Man would be in his classic red and gold armor, Spider-Woman would be the Julia Carpenter black and white costume version and Cyclops would be wearing his classic dark blue and yellow trim X-Men uniform. It should be noted that these listings have not been officially confirmed by Hasbro at this time, but we think the accuracy of the listing is more than likely correct. At last months Toy Fair we learned the first wave of these 2-packs would include:
- Spider-Man & Thunderball
- Wolverine & Human Torch
- Captain America & Claw

There will be a total of 12 "Secret Wars" comic 2-packs released over the course of the year and each set will come with a reprint from the classic 12-issue limited series that was released by Marvel Comics in the 80's. i dont really care for the wrecking crew but it would be cool to have them but finally i now know theres going to be a magneto and we never had klaw before
Aw man...I hate to be that annoying little complainer everyone hates, but why keep skimping on the baddies, Hasbro?! C'mon...it's not hard...one hero, and one villian per pack, you can do it! Want me to hold your hand? Shh...shh...don't be scared...they may be bad guys, but they're only action figures...see they're not REALLY gonna hurt you.
Sorry to be a sarcastic jerk, but it's the truth. If we get an incomplete Wrecking Crew, I think I'm gonna tear my hair out...anybody wanna take bets?
Hopefully the Hulk will be the Classic longer haired version.

all have a release date of 30/10/09 in the UK, you will get them sooner in the US
I wonder if this means there will be two more waves of three. Or maybe the comics will be double issues, allowing them to divide a 12-issue series into six comic packs.
The lineup isn't bad, but I would've preferred more villains in general, preferably a hero vs. villain in each pack. We've got 9 heroes to only 3 villains so far. Not much of a "war" with those odds, is it?

hasbro brings me the wrecking crew "YES" but of course it is the wrong scale wth man oh well the wife is happy I wont be making 30 trips to wal mart till the set I want coming out
finally hasbro has done something right!
I think this Human Torch is the best yet. I would love to see an Age of Apocolypse line!

-Colossus w/ Lockheed & Piledriver
-Spider-Woman & Ultron.
Now if they were to do a Secret Wars II, then.......
