They probably didn't have the sculpts done yet or something like that, especially if all the Fan Choice figs are coming out in one wave. All I have to say is come on Archangel after molting the iron wings and with a flesh tone face. I'm pretty sure the pic they showed to vote off of was a metal-winged blue Warren like this . I'm pretty sure we'll get something like this. I hunted 5 WMs last night. Only one had full pegs (4), the rest were REALLY slim on single carded MU figures. IMO, only SW Wave 1 could have been said to be warming right now; although Wave 4 did have way too many revisions and wave 5 should have come earlier.
The point I was trying to make is sales have gone down And yet again, with nothing to back it up. All over the place on the net, people reported waves 3 and 4 selling out quickly. And now wave 5 is moving fast. Come on now. and Hasbro got a stiff kick in the a$ for the last couple of excuses for MU waves they put out and had better get back into shape before they do run MU into the ground. I like how you just randomly make up things. You personally didn't like the last couple waves, so you then try to turn that into some sort of reasoning. How exactly was wave 4 an "excuse" for a wave? Hobgoblin, Blade, Moon Knight, Red Hulk, Union Jack? That was probably the best wave yet. Just stop. Too bad your not even half as smart as you think you are, you'd make one hell of a lawyer. Haha. Ironic. Again: the Marvel Universe line of figures is selling well. Too many reports that they sell quickly go against saying they do not. Until you can back it up, just stop with your fanboyish crap, which already leaked out to your ridiculous claim that waves 3 and 4 were "excuses." ALSO: A very good point to make is that this sale is for ALL the 3 3/4" figures. All four lines currently out at the moment. That includes XMO: Wolverine, which is MUCH more common to see not selling than MU. That line looks to not be selling well. Hasbro themselves said there are no longer plans to continue that line (and it might be the same for Wolverine and the X-Men -- they worded their statement strangely by saying "the Wolverine line") past 2009, even though there originally were. That is proof of a line doing badly. There is nothing like that at ALL for MU.
You are correct about about xmo figs not selling.I think the only reason I see more full pegs of them than 6 inch ironmans is cause they're smaller. Just curious, what do you think about them postponing the results of that mu figure poll they were supposed to announce at SDCC til the end of the year?
Sucks. I mean, it's okay that they delayed it, but it would have been nice if they had mentioned that at SDCC.

I do believe you probably operate a cash register but have a very hard time believing it's in retail as you clearly have a distorted understanding of the whole supply and demand dynamic. Yeah, you're not even worth it at this point. If you're going to brush off a fact I state to make it sound like I don't know what I'm talking about, you can pretty much go screw yourself. Overall, across the country, the MU line sells quickly from stores. To suggest the line isn't doing well, based on a Toys R Us sale, is wrong. End of discussion.
End of discussion? WRONG AGAIN! (I see a pattern...) your "fact" you state is (lets say it together, children) an O-P-I-N-I-O-N. the sooner you accept that fact the less stupider you'll sound. Tell Judge Judy the MU line sells super well. You got proof asks Judge Judy? yeah, cause I said it does. you'd lose your case and get cussed out by that old witch on national tv. you can't prove you're right so you get mad like a 5 year old and commit the online equivalent of a temper tantrum. why not call monron999 a poopface to complete the cryarama. (cry+diarama for those "less educated")
Ummm fact... stores put things on sale to promote movies & DVD releases :wolverine2:
Shhh, he doesn't like logic.

Exactly, get you in with the sale and you usually purchase something else because it's a "good deal" with the sale item. I wouldn't have bought Hobby or a Hand Ninnja if not for this sale. miked - 2009-09-26 @ 1:56 pm
GI Joe is on of the biggest money making movies of the year and TRU put them on sale for 2 for 9.99 on it's opening weekend. Retailers also put things on sale to bring consumers into the store so they'll buy other things that are not on sale. I think that the 2 for 9.99 concept has been working well for TRU with these new, slightly overpriced 3 3/4 inch lines and they're using it to they're advantage. They are starting to beat Target and Wal- Mart in all of their toy prices lately which has not been the case in recent years. While TRU is selling GI Joe for 7.99 Target has them for a whopping $9 and change! TRU has to beat these mega department stores at price point, otherwise there is no reason to make the extra trip to TRU to get toys when you can do all of your one stop shopping at Target or Wal Mart. GI Joe, Star Wars, Marvel U, and Transformers are the hottest toys in the action figure category (hottest category) and TRU is simply keeping the competition on their toes. That's my opinion. Back in the old days (70's and 80's) TRU NEVER ran sales for ANY REASON. They simply guaranteed that they had the lowest prices on every toy in the store period. If you brought in a circular from another store showing that that store had a lower price than TRU then TRU would match or beat the advertised price of that item. Stores like Wal Mart and Target have caused TRU to change it' s strategy over the years. I think that the consecutive 2 for $9.99 sales on very hot toy lines is part of a new strategy. There is a difference between running a sale and putting something on clearance. You put hot items on an advertised sale to bring people into the store to buy the sale item AND purchase other non sale items while they are there. You put an item on CLEARANCE at a reduced price when it is no longer viable commodity and you need to make room for new product. That's my opinion.

Well, as usual you're so intent on hearing yourself speak and get your two cents in that you fail to see the the point I was making. I never said MU was doing bad, going under, being canceled, blah.....blah....blah. I even made a specific point to say it has a strong future ahead of it. The point I was trying to make is sales have gone down and Hasbro got a stiff kick in the a$$ for the last couple of excuses for MU waves they put out and had better get back into shape before they do run MU into the ground. Be happy, quit your whining, your getting better product for it. As far as the discussion, I get the feeling I could throw facts and knowledge at you till we're both blue in the face and you would just keep yanking rabble straight outta your a$$ just to make your argument. Too bad your not even half as smart as you think you are, you'd make one hell of a lawyer. Unfortunately for you, lawyers do rely on actual facts to make their arguments. Anyways, I'm sure we've both got better things to do. Stay classy, and keep hittin the books junior, you've still got a lot to learn.
