that way you get some justice( $$$)
Haw!! That's the funniest thing I've read all day! Well done.
holy cow! TRU is like it's own socialist country. It's not like you go in there and fall asleep next to the bikerack overnight or play beatles rockband all day yelling "i killed Paul" and try to deal to the CSRs.they got mad cause you looked in the overhead storage and are just looking for an excuse.it's technically on the sales floor, unsecured (no lock, just like the sodas up front in the cooler) and NOT POSTED "employees only ". I don't see the problem if your intent is to purchase an item and not wash up in the sink . Sounds like a good defamation case.Screw calling corporate, call a lawyer.that way you get some justice( $$$$$) for 'em treating you like dirt.
Toys r Us blows!
Went to the closest Toys R Us to me{about an hour away} yesterday. Sadly I couldn't take advantage of the sale as all they had was one Johnny Storm{ I need for several possible customs}, one Punisher V2, one Hobgoblin, several Logans from the XMO line, and several Cyclops and Avalanches from the Wolvie/Xmen line. It happens that way every time they put a sale on. Tried to use the sale at the Walmart there but they wouldn't budge as it was a two fer deal. Still picked up Series 2 Wolvie and a Wolvie/Xmen Wolverine to transplant the head to the Series 2 figure.
So, anyone else pick up anything good from this sale? I got the only two that they had that I didn't have: The Thing (white/dark blue) and Stealth-Ops Iron Man(in addition to my afore-mentioned Bullseye and Deadpool).
Definitely get Blade and Goliath
Using the add I managed to pick up the following figures from Toys R Us, Wal-Mart and Target: Hobgoblin, Human Torch, Iron Fist, Black Panther, Ms. Marvel, Electro, Red Hulk, Silver Centurion Iron Man, Silver Surfer, Captain America, Green Goblin, Green Hulk, Daredevil, Bullseye, Namor and Punisher.
I was only getting X-Men and Spider-Man figures before but this sale was too good to pass by.
Now all I need are Vision, Moon Knight, variant Warpath, modern Iron Man. Still on the fence regarding Stealth Iron Man, Gray Hulk, Blade, Union Jack, and the Hand figures.
Interested in the Secret War packs, TRU army builders and Giant Figs.
I would still call corporate. That's the most dumbest business practice I've heard in a while. When she said the stuff about "vagrancy," I would've responded, "So the purpose of Toys R Us is not for me to be able to look for items I intend to buy?"
Seriously, call corporate. This behavior probably happens more than we know about, but since people usually don't do anything about it, corporate never finds out and adjusts the situation.
I still can't believe she said you could only come in twice a week. In all my years of toy collecting, I've never encountered that -- even when I was a little kid! I lived by a TRU as a kid and went there almost every day, usually not buying anything. They never said anything to me.
Are you a minor? That's the only thing that would have this make any sense to me.
I wish I had that Toys R Us ad so I could take it to Wal-Mart...they have a way bigger selection than Toys R Us!
Thank you all for your concerns, I called the store and pressed the issue with the assistant manager, a rather nice lady compared to the other dirtbag. She explained to me that it was considered loitering and vagrency. They have a lincense that they extend to the public to come in and examine and purchase merchandise. If you come to the store more than two times in a week and do not buy anything you violate this lincense. She said she knew who I was and I was coming in 3 or 4 times a week and I rarely bought anything. I explained that the items that I was looking for never made it to the shelves because her employees were hiding them. She didn't care. On a brighter note I brought the add to Walmart and for $20.00 I got 2 Red Hulks, a Hobgoblin and Moonknight. I made sure to mention that to her as well.
DAM! i dont know where you live but no store in california could get away with this stuff...
i would call up the BBB (better buisness bueru) in a heart beat. those managers should be fired, collectors and parents are all that TRU sell to. THERE IS NO OTHER CUSTOMERS.
