You mean the figures you said were prototypes that were proven to be actual variants? We saw Vision at Toy Fair. Not sure why you're acting cocky.
We saw one of them. Months later. On a stand. Next to some figures that are coming out in October 2010.
I explained why I was "cocky" --- because several waves and revisions later they still haven't come out when everyone was griping that "LOL these are real! They'll be out with Wave 6 revisions no doubt..."
And according to Wave 8 cases, nope. I'm sure they'll drop eventually, though.
I'm not going to say anything.Last time this happened, I said they're prototypes, not figures. And everyone flipped and said "They're coming ASAP!" Everyone was "sure" they'd be released in Wave 6 revisions...
Or Wave 7....or Wave 7 revisions....
Or Wave 8...
Keep waiting.

It's not confirmed anywhere. It's an assumption based on the several mentions of a roller-skate Dazzler by the Hasbro people since the start of the line, and also based on the fact that they did a 70s Luke Cage for ML. Just makes me think that a) the creative team dates their interest in Marvel by and large from that late-70s/early 80s era, and b) those characters and the looks from that era are on their radar. They did a punk-rock Storm, after all, and an 80s Iron Man. And they have also mentioned 80s mainstays Alpha Flight and the New Mutants as well. I'm pretty sure 70s Cage is a consideration. Plus, the fan choices, as was pointed out by someone on the board, referred to the particular costumes they used in the pictures of the characters. The modern Luke Cage was on the list, the 70s look was not. Which either means they aren't interested in the 70s Cage, or, more likely, that costume was a given for later on down the line. Well, that's my theory, anyway.
I'm pretty sure a 70s Cage is on the horizon somewhere, along with a roller-skate Dazzler.
Where'd you hear this?
the variants are slow to appear nowadays. But Vision was confirmed in pictures from Toyfair. When the Luke Cage variant comes up I'm definitely getting it. It's a very nice look for modern Cage.
Personally, I'm pretty sure a 70s Cage is on the horizon somewhere, along with a roller-skate Dazzler. It does mean a whole new mold for the head, torso and arms. All they've got to re-use on a Power Man figure are the legs with the Wrecking Crew boots. Most of the variants in the line have been just a repaint and maybe a head resculpt, so far.

I think that if they really wanted to make a Luke Cage variant they should have given us a Powerman variant (give him the look from his Powerman days). Or like what is on my phone a Luke Cage with the sleeveless jacket.
i actually prefer the black shirt to the white shirt. idk why
Man I wish I had gotton the Luke Cage with White Tank top! I hate how mine has the wash around the skin making him look dirty. The variant looks like he has lighter skin color too.
That Black Widow head does look like Invisible Women alot, be nice to see some good customs using it.
why not a power man variant? .... but i guess with hasbro, thatd be too much to ask, and too good to be true
