Peter Sollett To Direct Marvel's "The Runaways"?!?

Jay Cochran - April 05, 2010
It is being reported that director Peter Sollett (Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist) is considering taking on Marvel's "The Runaways." The movie is said to be distributed under Marvel's pre-Disney deal with Paramount Pictures.

It had previously been reported that Brian K. Vaughan, who co-created the series with artist Adrian Alphona, is writing the adaptation, for which Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige will act as producer.

The comic version of "The Runaways" is about a group of teens who found that some family secrets are bigger than others when they witnessed their parents, part of a cabal known as the Pride, murdering a young girl during a secret sacrificial ritual. Running away from their homes, the group banded together and began a journey of discovery, both of their parents' origins and of their own inherited powers.
