It is being reported by Hollywood Reporter that British actress Hayley Atwell has been confirmed for the role of Steve Rogers love interest, Peggy Carter in the upcoming "The First Avenger: Captain America" movie from Marvel Entertainment.

Atwell joins cast members Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes), Chris Evans (Steve Rogers/Captain America) and possibly Hugo Weaving who is still in negotiations to play the villainous Red Skull. The movie is being directed by Joe Johnston and slated to hit theaters on July 22, 2011.

In other Cap news, in a recent interview with direct Joe Johnston with Ed Gross, Johnston reveals that Evans will be playing all incarnations of Steve Rogers for the movie. Meaning the puny pre-super soldier serum Steve Rogers and the later muscular Rogers who dons the red, white and blue uniform. Though Johnston doesn't actually reveal how this will be pulled off, it is being speculated that CGI will play a large part in pulling this off.
