Favreau Confirms Tony Stark's Dad To Be In Captain America

MTV caught up with Iron Man 2 director Jon Favreau who talked about what kind of role Tony Stark's father might play in the upcoming "The First Avenger: Captain America" movie.



"Yeah, because he was around then," confirmed Favreau.

"['Captain America'] is World War II," he explained. "It wouldn't be that same actor, probably, because he would be much younger."

"[Howard Stark] was starting out during that time, and [he] was involved with the war effort, much like Howard Hughes," said the filmmaker.

Iron Man 2 opens in theaters on May 7 and "Captain America: The First Avenger" will open in the U.S. on July 22, 2011.
