Kevin Pennington Not Rick Jones, Could He Be Ka-Zar Or Iron Fist?!?

The Marvel movie casting rumors just keep coming. Today actor Kevin Pennington announced on his Twitter page he was not going to be playing the part of Rick Jones in the upcoming Avengers movie. So where this leaves the actor and what part he will play in the movie, if any at all remains to be seen.

This announcement follows an email we received last week from one of those "secret sources" that seem to be so busy these days. They told us Kevin would be Rick Jones, if the character makes the cut by the end of the working script.

This same source told us if the character did not make the cut, then they would either throw him in as a cameo/small role for Iron Fist (which would lead to a spin-off with Luke Cage or solo film), or they may fill Kevin Pennington's contract with the lead role in a Ka-Zar film. The source goes on to tell us that Pennington's contract specifies the studio needs to use him by 2013, and these are the options they are considering for him.

Yeah we know, it all seems a bit far-fetched which is why we didn't post it, however in light of Pennington's announcement today that he would not be playing Rick Jones, we thought we would go on and pass the rumor along for discussion purposes only.
