Another casting rumor for the Matthew Vaughn directed "X-Men: First Class" movie has hit the net, this time courtesy of
AICN.
According to one of those super secret sources, actor Aaron Johnson who recently stared earlier this year in another super hero themed movie, "Kick-Ass" will be playing the character of Cyclops/Scott Summers in the upcoming "X-Men: First Class" movie.
I work in the [REDACTED] and we heard today that Matthew Vaughn found his young Cyclops and it shouldn't be any surprise because he worked with him before. It's Aaron Johnson. This is one hundred percent locked at this point. Thought you guys should know.
There have been alot of casting rumors poping up over the last month or so for this movie, most have turned out to be false so we will continue to treat this one with a grain of salt as well till there is some type of official confirmation. As of now the only people officially confirmed for this movie are Alice Eve (Emma Frost), Michael Fassbender (Magneto) and James McAvoy (Charles Xavier).
X-MEN: FIRST CLASS begins production this summer for a June 3, 2011 release. Bryan Singer, who conceived the story for FIRST CLASS and directed the original “X-Men” and its sequel “X2,” is producing along with Lauren Shuler Donner and Simon Kinberg.
X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, following the classic Marvel mythology, charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga. Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known.
