Jason Flemying Cast As Nightcrawler's Dad In X-Men: First Class

Jason Flemyng has been cast to play the role of Nightcrawler's dad Azazel in the Matthew Vaughn directed "X-Men: First Class" movie coming from 20th Century Fox. This is no surprise as Flemyng seems to be a regular addition in all of Vaughn's films. For those not familiar with the character of Azazel, he is a teleporting creature from another dimension that tries to impregnate human women in the hope that one of his children will provide him with a permanent link to this plane. At movie-con in London this weekend, it was confirmed not only that Flemying would be playing Azazel in the movie, but also that the character would be comic book accurate with red skin as opposed to Nightcrawler's blue. No word on how big a role Flemyng will have in the movie or how much of impact on the plot the character of Azazel will play.
