The Search For Parker's Love Interest Has Started For New 'Spider-Man' Movie

Heat Vision has posted the following list of females who are in the lead for the upcoming Marc Webb-directed “Spider-Man” movie.

Selected actresses are meeting with Webb and new Spidey actor Andrew Garfield. In a departure from the Tobey Maguire-Kirsten Dunst movies, the love-interest character is not Mary Jane. What isn't clear is whether the actresses are auditioning to play Gwen Stacy, Parker’s other love interest in the comics or some other new character. The script pages being given to the actresses have no name listed for the character.

Others are in contention, but the following names have been revealed:

Imogen-poots Imogen Poots
Ophelia Lovibond
Lilly Collins

Others potentially in the mix are:

Teresa Palmer
Emma Roberts

These are not screentests, but rather readings and meetings. Basically, it’s still early. And if none of these girls work out, don’t rule out another round of searching.
