A Look & Order Instructions For The Marvel Universe X-Force Archangel Variant Figure

by Jay Cochran
February 8, 2011
Marvel Comics has finally started offering the Hasbro exclusive 3.75" Marvel Universe "X-Force Variant" Archangel figure on their website. This is the same figure mold as the regular Archangel released on a single card last year from Hasbro, only it has a paint deco to mach the characters appearance in the X-Force comic book series. Like with the Nick Fury figure promotion from last year, you must subscribe or renew your subscription to the Marvel Comics digital comics service to get it.

Here are the instructions for how you can get one once you go to the MARVEL site:

1. Select and purchase a subscription to Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited by clicking on the order now button to the right. All subscribers get the hassle-free advantage of the Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited Automatic Renewal Program.

2. Pay US $5.17 ($6.86 Canadian) for shipping and handling. Write a check or money order to "Figure Redemption, Inc." Offer valid U.S. and Canada only.

3. Print, fill out and mail the certificate. When you finish subscribing, you'll receive a confirmation number and a printable certificate. Mail to the address provided and include your check or money order for shipping and handling. Must be postmarked by 1/31/2012.

It would also seem some of these have already started to arrive in people's mailboxes. Thanks to Marvelous News reader MrDizzle, we have a look at his figure which he says arrived with a flawless paint job. Check out his image of the figure below in our GALLERY.

You gentlemen are crazy-bent to be paying so much for one figure but I'll give it to you, you're dedicated!

I always feel that paying $7 bucks a figure is leaching me so rocking 65 bones for a repainted Angel is freaking ridiculous. You fools must all be computer programers or fleshlight designers to be able to afford that price. More power to you if you can.

I broke mine out, drilled back, and attached said wings. I want to add some blood to the wings, not sure how to make it look right.

Reading old posts, I'm curious about you drilling Archangel's back. Is that to get the wing pegs in deeper?

So I glad I got a pristine, mint XFAA at the convention last month with the discount. One repaint that turned out nicer than the original.

Nope they remove the promo box

THOR302011 gets you 30% off of an annual subscription.

Don't think it'll work for XFAA but if anyone wants to try....

I'm planning on moving in July. If I mail my check in now will I get my figure before I move? I guess I could apply for mail forwarding or whatever if it comes down to it.
