Ashley Hamilton In Talks To Play 'Firepower' In Iron Man 3 & Jon Favreau Returns

It appears everyone wants to be a villian in a Marvel movie and according to Variety, Ashley Hamilton is in talks to play the government cyborg Firepower. The character of Firepower is 'the pilot of an experimental armored suit under the secret mission dubbed Project: Firepower. He eventually uses the suit to battle Iron Man.'

"Iron Man 3" starts production this month with the storyline surrounding the 'elements from Warren Ellis' six-issue "Iron Man: Extremis," which also influenced the first "Iron Man" installment, and focuses on the spread of a virus through nanotechnology.'

Shane Black is directing and co-wrote the script with Drew Pearce. Robert Downey Jr. returns as billionaire Tony Stark, while Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Ben Kingsley, James Badge Dale and Rebecca Hall also star.

Iron Man 3 is scheduled for release on May 3rd, 2013.

In other Iron Man 3 news... Jon Favreau tweeted to let everyone know that even though he won't be directing Iron Man 3. He will be returning for the role of Happy Hogan and included his own special image.
