X-Men Marvel Legends Nemesis Build-A-Figure Wave Details

Hasbro on Friday revealed the entire first wave of X-Men Marvel Legends figures coming in 2025. This will be a six figure wave with a Build-A-Figure that will be going up for pre-order at places like our sponsors BigBadToyStore.com and Entertainment Earth in early January. The wave breaks down as follows:

- Age Of Apocalypse Gambit - This figure includes a staff and alternate hands. It also has a cloak and It has pin-less arms and legs. The figure uses brown and blue colors and a new headsculpt. In some comics it had greens and in some browns, but they went with brown for this figure.

- X-Treme X-Men Wolverine - This figure includes 3 pairs of hands and now BAF piece. He has combat fatigue black pants. Ryan would love to do a X-Treme X-Men Rogue and Storm.

- Acolytes Fabian Cortez - Includes 2 Power Effects for his hands and alternate hands. It also includes the Nemesis Left Leg. The figure has a ponytail and a removable cape. The figure has pin-less arms and legs.

- Generation X Husk - This figure includes two headsculpts, a normal one and one with here skin being torn off her metal face. She also comes with a chunk of flesh and alternate hands so you can make it look like she is ripping the skin off her face. The body is pretty much the same one used with the previous Generation X Monet figure with a few minor updates. The figure also includes the Torso/Head for Nemesis.

- Marrow - This figure is based on her 90s/early 2000 look. Has bones sticking out her back. She has two bone swords and alternate hands. She has pin-less arms and legs. She also has the left arm for Nemesis.

Note while talking about Marrow who appears in the Marvel vs Capcom video games along with their recent Cable figure that wears the outfit from those games, Ryan suggested maybe they are teasing a greater theme. This MIGHT be a reference to the Marvel vs. Capcom subline that has been RUMORED to be coming in 2025.

- X-Factor Cyclops (Blue and Yellow) - This figure comes with a new updated optic blast and two headsculpts (One for optic blast and regular one). This figure uses the Vulcan body. They also asked in the live-stream if people want to see more figures based on the original X-Factor team. This figure comes with the right arm for Nemesis.

- Uncanny X-Force Nightcrawler - This figure includes a sword, two headsculpts and multiple hands. The two headsculpts have different eye colors, again because in the comics he was shown with different eye (Yellow and red) colors. This figure has pin-less arms and legs. Ryan in the live-stream made sure to note that Uncanny X-Force is an interesting team, possibly hinting more members from that team will be getting the figure treatment. This figure also includes the dome and back piece for Nemesis.

The Build-A-Figure for this wave is Nemesis. This is a more modern version of the character which is why it looks different from the previous Holocaust/Nemesis figure Hasbro did years ago. This is one of Dwights favorite figures he has ever worked on. The figure has tubes on the back that attach to his right arm cannon. The dome is removable and the skull head can turn and has an articulated jaw. The Skull head is also encased in fire.

When Hasbro provides a specific pre-order date for this wave we will be sure to update you here. This will be the second Marvel Legends wave released in 2025.

This is a prime example of how posing a figure can make it look so much better. Personally I've always thought this design was not only silly but terribly impractical. Any super agile character with a cape is just asking to be choked out IMHO. I know it's all just make believe but I do enjoy some common sense in design. To me it's the equivalent to putting giant moon boots on a character that depends on mobility and quick reaction time. Yes I'm looking at you Gwenpool. Basically I see this as a design made just to be different with no thought given to function. That being the case I must say these shots do make the figure more appealing than before. Previously I had just pre-ordered it just in case. Fully understanding I may cancel if the early reviews did not impress me. I don't like the look of the thing in standing position but as I will be posing it in Spider-Like form I think I'll keep it. Great job JW_Show. You are a true artiste. Somebody at Hasbro put this guy on payroll. He's doing a better job at selling your product than you are.

Just wanted to comment on this reviewer. Love the poses! Actually having fun with toys!!! The clothesline from that Minotaur is exactly what I'm talkin about when I'm debating the importance of poseability. That is seriously awesome! Speaking of Minotaurs, time for Dario as a baf or deluxe already. But given how slow we get Thor related stuff it'll be a while.

While I was never heavily invested in the Spider-Man Unlimited show, I've always liked the design. Been wanting Hasbro to take a stab at it and it's looking like this one will not disappoint. Also, it's Spider-Man! That's usually a must-have for my collection either way.

I like this figure, it's cool that we're getting another animated series version of Spidey and I hope that this means Spectacular Spidey is on the way as well. I do have two things I'd improve on the figure though, one is to have the diaphragm/ab crunch combo I think every Spidey should have and two is the black shading especially on the mask. I'm going to have to color it myself because this suit isn't even recognizable to me without that black shading on the mask.

Kaine is definitely my most anticipated of the wave, can't wait to get him. I'm ok with Agent Venom's height, he's going in the Spider-Verse display so I like him being a bit smaller to fit in better.

Idk I think that he is just a resuse of the Vulcan body with some slight "new tooling" and this is exactly why I passed on Kaine whichI wanted pretty badly but that Vulcan body is too small, now if this used the Punisher body I would have been all over this buts it is not. And I gotta say this whole wave just is underwhelming even the agent venom which looks decent only has ok articulation (no boot cut or a crutch at the waist like they can at least do?) and its undersized, like that whole wave could have been great buts IMO its been just a bunch of poor executions.

I'm sure it will leave something to be desired for sure. It's just that every time I see they haven't just thrown the Sunfire model at a new character I get a bit excited. I don't however think it is the Vulcan model. Maybe it's some kind of hybrid in the same scale but the way I tell a body mold from the Vulcan one is in the abs detail. It's all about the abs. Coming from a licensed physical trainer. LOL. But it's true. And there actually are 2 distinct variations of the Vulcan. Just look at the X-Men Uniform 3 pack with Gambit and Banshee. They are both on the Vulcan sized model but there are some very distinct differences in the base sculpt. And it isn't in just the character specific elements. I think they made more than one Vulcan model on purpose. I think it has something to do with production because you very rarely find them using the same sculpt in any particular wave or multi pack even though it does still happen on occasion. But that's my general theory on why molds like the Bucky Cap and Kate Bishop still find their way into some waves to this day.

And I agree with you 100 percent about Agent Venom. I saw it from the start that he was way too short. Flash was in the 6'2" range before he lost his legs so the Vulcan build or larger would have been the proper one. And though I'm all about new and original sculpts and models this one is quite a bit more undersized. Actually shorter than most other males in the wave. Aside from Spider Boy of course.

Had they even used the Vulcan model it would have been okay but it actually looks like they used an even larger model. I'm not a hundred percent sure but it looks to be some variation of the new Punisher model which is excellent. So credit to Hasbro for getting it right. And even if I'm wrong and it's in the scale of the Vulcan body...

I was initially on the fence with the Kaine figure. Wasn't sure it'd have a place on my shelves but the more I see of it, the more I can't wait to get it in hand. Loving the look of this one more and more!

I wasn't too excited about it at first either because I just knew Hasbro was going to screw it up. Kaine in this form was portrayed as much larger than your average clone and I was almost sure they were going to do him on the Sunfire model. Had they even used the Vulcan model it would have been okay but it actually looks like they used an even larger model. I'm not a hundred percent sure but it looks to be some variation of the new Punisher model which is excellent. So credit to Hasbro for getting it right. And even if I'm wrong and it's in the scale of the Vulcan body it's still better than the typical throw-it-together-and-be-quick-about-it standard use of the Sunfire body they usually do. There's a veiled complement in there somewhere but until Hasbro retires that Sunfire model for good or at least start using it properly I'm always going to assume the worst with every new character.

Does anyone know if the Husk yelling head is fully sculpted or just painted on the face? Part of me hopes Hasbro put in the effort and sculpted the separation between the flesh tone and the silver part. The other part of me is hoping they cheaped out and just painted it. That way I kind just remove the paint, swap out the hair, and then use it for my Siryn figure.
