That's one of the things I like about Ewing, he's a continuity nut but he still makes his stories accessible

From what I remember in the comics Mantis son was some kind of plant looking lifeform. Guess he had some special heritage and powers or something. And that looks like the Swordsman on top of the cake with Mantis. Maybe he was the father of the plant baby. I Think the story im remembering was back in the late 70's. And yes I believe that is Dormamu the devils son in law himself. And I think a Sequoia is a tree too. That would explain the plant life theory. Maybe Groot is the father.
