This year will see the climactic end to one of the most critically acclaimed runs in recent history: Al Ewing and Joe Bennett’s IMMORTAL HULK. Closing out this thought-provoking, character redefining epic with IMMORTAL HULK #50, Ewing and Bennett will bid farewell to Bruce Banner, the Green Door, and all the unforgettable elements they’ve cemented into the Hulk mythos. But there are plenty of surprises still in store and fans will want to pick up IMMORTAL HULK #49 where the build-up to the explosive final issue begins with a bang!
"It's finally time to admit it - IMMORTAL HULK is reaching the end of the story we set out to tell,” Ewing said. “Issue #49 brings jade-jaws to the gates of the abyss and a final accounting of his life - in time for a last issue you'll have to experience to believe."
The gate is a thing of divine power - a thing of forever. But even for the strongest one there is, it bears the warning: ABANDON HOPE, ALL YE WHO ENTER HERE. Check out Alex Ross’ mesmerizing cover below and don’t dare miss IMMORTAL HULK #49 when it hits stands on August 4th.

I've dropped a number of books from my pull list but this one has been a stellar performer. I'll miss this run. Its been an "out there" storyline for the Hulk, but masterfully done and an example of what can be done, if they put their minds to it.

I've been enjoying Ewing'sGuardians of the Galaxy. I'm not a big Venom/symbiot fan, so I don't like how much the King in Black has monopolized so much lately, but aside from that I think his first arc or two on GotG has been fun.

This run really was an instant modern classic and unparalleled. The next Hulk writer has some Hulk-sized shoes to fill. I'm really happy for Ewing for managing to close the run on his own terms after years of being an underdog with rushed wrap-ups due to cancellation. Can't wait for his Defenders and whichever book he does next.
im a bit behind in the run but from what ive read i really enjoyed it. great cover too
Hate to see it end, but Im glad its ending on a high note.Im hoping the next writer is great, rumor is that Chip Zdarsky might takeover, which I think would be great especially after his awesome Daredevil hes been writing and the great F4/X-Men mini he did
My favorite series for the last couple years. I'm glad the creative team is wrapping it up the way they want.
